MAIN FLASH
- 'The art of other' - a focus on the non-conformity of the teenage generation and how the societal 'other' has gained aesthetic value on the social media platforms of 2019.
Image Plan
- An 'edgy' style outfit with pink accents, on the backdrop of the sky, or an urban setting. The contemporary britpop aspect is something I want to focus on. It will be a close up shot, shot in natural lighting, with a blurred outdoors background and will have a cool-toned, unsaturated filter to it, to appeal to the 'underground britpop' concept. The makeup will be natural, with a minimal look but a pop of pink as a reference to past editions of DAZED magazine - the entire concept will be a pastiche to the underground but minimalist genre conventions of the latem 2010s minimalist house style that the magazine is known for. It should look candid but as staged as possible such as the britpop cover or the Kiernan Shipka cover but more of a mixture of the both to display both aspects of this magazine's conventional covers.
Cover lines
- Featuring: Rhea Dillon on black queerness in Britain, Virginie Vard's new chanel collection, Vox Lux Director on the pressures of stardom, Dior's custom designs for BTS' upcoming tour AND Patrick Heardman on whether 13 reason's why is linked to real suicides
- DAZED title [declare independence]
