Write up your feedback in full

- EBI: Always present a balanced, clear argument (e.g in qu2)
List 1 potential point you missed out for each question
- 1 - I got full marks
- 2 - Younger People don't consume media in the way that older generations do - outdated concepts - funding concerns - more people streaming
- 3- Moral Panic theory + application
On a scale of 1-10. how much revision and preparation did you do for this assessment
Look at Q1, Did you manage to write about 3 different strategies and benefits?
Look at Q2, Did you write about both the BBC and commercial broadcasters?
- I wrote extensively for the BBC, but didn't go into detail for commercial broadcasting. I could have included more specific examples and reasons for commercial broadcasters including the new digital age and its impacts on media consumption for the younger generations.
Write a new paragraph for Q3 (use teacher comments and the mark scheme for references)
- Arguably, the media does have an overarching generally damaging impact on audiences. Due to the intense consumption of content by younger generations as well as a lack of online regulation, young people are consuming inappropriate material prematurely and their adolescence is perhaps negatively impacted by this. For example, the abundance of sexualised content, in reference to Mulvey's theory of the 'male gaze', the media that younger people are consuming could impact their personal growth as they begin to idolise idealist versions of reality. Although, it could be said that the impact is not as severe as some people portray, the effects are still abundantly clear. Cohen's moral panic theory becomes relevant here, in the day and age of unregulated online material - 'technopanics' become a much more regular and theatric part of society, the negative material available online as well as the particularly biased online forums for parents available online, add to this idea of a 'technopanic' and lead to a damaging impact on both the online community and ability to absorb online content for cathartic benefits but also to a general society, who are worrying about a new digital age and it's infamy that's followed it since it began.
